When people choose an estate planning attorney, they are not simply choosing someone to draft documents. They are choosing a person they trust to guide their family through important life decisions, protect what they have built, and help them prepare for the future with confidence.

For Victor Veprauskas, that responsibility is deeply personal.

Victor and his wife Leah have built their life around service, community, and helping others. Their story begins years ago when they met at a local gym. What started as a chance meeting became a partnership that has carried them through careers, family life, and nearly two decades in the Lake Orion community.

A Career Focused on Protecting Families

Victor graduated magna cum laude from Wheeling Jesuit University and later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. After years of practicing law, he founded Axis Estate Planning with a clear purpose: to serve families in a meaningful way.

His work centers on estate planning, asset protection, and Medicaid planning. He also provides financial planning guidance as a licensed investment advisor representative. His goal is simple but important, helping families protect what they have worked their entire lives to build.

Estate planning is often viewed as paperwork. Victor sees it differently. He sees it as a way to reduce stress for loved ones, prevent conflict, and give families clarity during difficult moments.

Service Beyond the Office

Helping others does not stop when the workday ends. Service is woven into nearly every part of Victor and Leah’s lives.

Leah has spent more than 25 years in the fitness industry and owns Leah V. Fitness, where she works with both individuals and groups. Each year, she donates a full week of business revenue to charity. Through the firm, estate planning services are also provided at no cost to military members, veterans, police officers, and first responders.

Victor and Leah support animal rescues, shelters, foster children, and seniors in nursing homes. During the holidays, Leah organizes family adoptions so local families can receive gifts and support during difficult times.

Their businesses are designed to reflect their values. Helping people is not a marketing idea for them. It is how they choose to live.

Community and Family

The Veprauskas family has lived in the Lake Orion community since 2008. They intentionally chose a neighborhood known for connection and involvement, something they value deeply. They stay active in local organizations, events, and community initiatives, and they regularly support local businesses.

When they are not working, you will often find them outdoors. They enjoy camping, traveling throughout Michigan, and spending time with their German Shepherd, Mara, who accompanies them almost everywhere.

Why It Matters

Estate planning is ultimately about people, not documents. Families want to know that the person guiding them understands responsibility, trust, and long-term planning not only professionally, but personally.

Victor believes planning should give families peace of mind and prevent future hardship. His approach focuses on clear communication, thoughtful preparation, and making the process understandable for every client.

For the Veprauskas family, the mission is simple: build a life that helps others and create a practice that does the same.

If you have been putting off estate planning or have questions about protecting your family and assets, now is the right time to start the conversation.
